We love Florida — its people, its outdoors, its independent spirit, and the sense of freedom and personal responsibility that makes the state special.
But our family's connection to Florida goes much deeper than vacations, friendships, or time spent in the state.
Years ago, following a devastating hurricane, our family found ourselves in need of help.
Florida showed up.
People traveled hundreds of miles from Florida to help families and communities they had never met. Among them were Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers who helped rescue our family from our flooded home.
Dear family friends with deep Florida ties also stepped forward without hesitation to help us begin putting our lives back together.
We remember the airboat. We remember the people who showed up. And most importantly, we remember what it felt like to have people come from so far away simply because others needed help.
We've never forgotten that.
Then Came Four Words.
Years later, my wife and I were sitting on our patio, watching the news and talking about Florida, its culture, and the independent spirit of the people who call it home.
My wife looked over and said:
“Florida and Find Out.”
Light bulb.
I looked at her and asked:
“What does the state of Florida look like?”
As I said it, I held out my hand like a pistol, pointing in the same direction as the Florida peninsula.
We looked at each other.
There it was.
FLORIDA AND FIND OUT™
The phrase and the shape belonged together.
The idea stayed with us. And over time, we began to realize it could represent something much bigger than a clever phrase or a logo.
Freedom. Responsibility. Protecting What Matters.
The original Florida-shaped firearm became the symbol that started the brand.
But Florida And Find Out™ is bigger than one logo.
To us, it's a statement of confidence and responsibility.
It's about protecting your family and home. Valuing freedom while respecting the rights of others. Taking responsibility for your choices. Standing behind what you believe in. Enjoying the outdoors. Supporting your community. And appreciating the freedoms we're fortunate to have.
Family. Home. Freedom.
That's what we want our apparel and merchandise to represent.

Florida was part of our family's story long before there was a FLAFO website, a piece of apparel, or a business.
Today, we're building FLAFO alongside friends and relationships in Florida who share our enthusiasm for the brand and what it represents.
As we grow, we want to develop genuine relationships with Florida businesses, outdoor organizations, events, conservation groups, affiliates, and causes that share those values.
Fishing. Hunting. Boating. Golf. Conservation. Community.
Some of those relationships are still ahead of us.

The people who came to our family's aid years ago showed us firsthand what it means to step forward and help others.
